eBay Classified Ad

With eBay's Classified Ad format, sellers and buyers do not complete the transaction online through eBay. Instead, sellers can use Classified Ads to advertise their items for sale on eBay and generate multiple leads. The Classified Ads appear on the site alongside regular Auction-style and Buy It Now listings. Any seller can use the Classified Ad format. 11

This latest eBay upheaval has been good news for Chris Fain, founder of Online Auction. His auction site has experienced great growth in membership since the ebay sellers plan to boycott eBay, and many of them are flocking to his site to reestablish their businesses. He has a monthly seller fee plan that he feels will be a welcome change for those sellers leaving eBay behind. 35

When you list an item, service, or property on eBay using Classified Ad, you're charged an Insertion Fee according to the following table. You will not be charged a Final Value Fee or Notice Fee for this type of format. See the list of categories and subcategories for which you can use the Classified Ad listing type. If you are using Best Offer, then a final value fee will apply. 1

The great thing about the eBay classified ads is that they show within the normal listings that other people have placed to sell their products. So you get a maximum exposure. Also you are allowed to put external links to any web page or site in your eBay classified ad. 10

All you need to start is just to open an account with eBay (it is free), and you can start advertising your own products, or affiliate products to make some cash on the web. You need only $10 to start, and in 15 minutes, you are in business. 10

The new platform will go live on April 1st, 2008 PST, at which point eBay will no longer be running its affiliate program through Commission Junction. Beginning April 1st, affiliates should register with eBay Partner Network and migrate their links from CJ to the new platform. 34

After you select Classified Ad, the form will change. Scroll back up to the section Item Specifics, and where it says Shipping, click the pull-down menu and the options Digital Delivery or FREE Digital Delivery are on it. 19
